Optical Filters

1. SINGLE AND MULTI BANDPASS FILTERS
Coating Description

A bandpass filter is designed to transmit energy only within a selected band of wavelengths in the spectrum and reject all other wavelengths

2. LONG WAVE PASS (LWP) FILTERS
Coating Description

A long-wavelength pass filter transmits energy at wavelengths longer than the cut-on wavelength while energy at wavelengths shorter than the cut-on is attenuated.

3. SHORT WAVE PASS (SWP) FILTERS
Coating Description

A short-wavelength pass filter transmits energy at wavelengths shorter than the cut-off wavelength while energy at wavelengths longer than the cut-off is attenuated.

4. NEUTRAL DENSITY FILTERS
The purpose of the neutral density (ND) coating is to attenuate the incident flux. In its simplest form, the thickness of a single metallic layer is adjusted so that a prescribed transmittance is attained.
